People still come up to me and tell me they workout like a dog, but can’t seem to lose any weight. No matter how many times I tell them diet is 80% or more of any good weight loss plan, they keep coming back with the same statements about how hard they workout. It’s true, people just hear what they want to hear and block out the rest.
Repeat the mantra: “YOU CAN’T OUT-EXERCISE A BAD DIET.”
The word diet fools you into thinking that one day it will end. That’s not a good thing because once your diet has ended you’re back to your old ways and sooner or later your old weight. You need to make a lifelong change. You CAN find a variety of foods that are healthy, nutritious, satisfying, low in calories, low in fat, compatible with your lifestyle, and sustainable for the rest of your life. It might take a little work in the beginning, but once you have your foundation of healthy foods that you enjoy eating in your fridge, pantry and cupboards. You’ll have no problem putting together a healthy meal or snack anytime.
But even too much healthy food will make you gain weight. Calories in must not exceed calories out.
Designing and executing a successful weight loss program requires a little time & research. Establishing goals is a key component of any such program. Commitment is paramount. Consistency is crucial. Success can be yours. Remember 80% is what you put into your stomach and 20% is exercise.Good Luck & Good Health.
