What's It All About?

Follow me, or better yet join me as I journey into my sixties... enjoying my grandchildren... trying to stay healthy and fit... maybe some traveling and whatever else tickles my fancy.

Get on the Autobahn

5 years down the road, can you picture where you’ll be? Is it where you want to be? Why not? Fear? Circumstances? Do you have a destination in mind? Where do you want to be in 20 years?  In 15 years? in 10 years?
Picture yourself in 5 years if things go as they are going.  Picture yourself in 5 years if things went the way you want them to go. (Make sure it’s a realistic destination, something you would have control over. Hitting the Lottery as a goal is foolhardy and unrealistic. Not totally impossible, just 99.99998% unlikely. Snap out of it, back to reality.) Now tear up that first picture and start visualizing a road from the "here and now" to the YOU that you saw in the second picture.
Start traveling on that road now. Maybe from today until the New Year you are only traveling on the service road, getting prepared & ready.  And after New Years, Monday January 3rd to be exact, you’ll be getting on the acceleration ramp and jumping into the right lane on the highway to success, just waiting for your chance to get over into the middle lane to pass the slower drivers and then the fast lane heading towards your goals at full speed. You’re on the Autobahn of your life.
On the Autobahn there is no speed limit and there are plenty of junctions and intersections to get you where you want to go. The only cops are the ones in your head that tell you to slow down or pull over. Once in a while you might hit a traffic jam, but with patience, planning & some maneuvering you’ll be on your way again in no time. There will be plenty of rest stops to refresh yourself, adjust your goals & plans, or just enjoy the view. Your autobahn is limitless, so you can go further than you originally planned, or you can change directions if you so desire or head for the highest peaks and summits that you see off in the distance. You’re the driver, it’s your life, stop making excuses and get your foot off the brake and put the pedal to the metal. Full speed ahead.
Now pick your destination(Goal), print out your map(plan), and start your motor(action). GPA.
